$189.00 – $450.00
As a Medieval knight returned from the crusades, Saint George is asked by the villagers to kill the dragon that has been demanding increasingly heinous tribute. The image depicts Heroic Saint George, wearing red for courage, in the middle of a fight to save the life of the pale maiden in this dynamic three-dimensional design symbolizing defeating the creature of the mind. British artist Burne-Jones worked with Pre-Raphaelite Rossetti and also with William Morris in the decorative Arts and Crafts movement, he also helped to revive the tradition of stained glass art. Burne-Jones’ interests span from the mythical, Medieval and Gothic romanticism to appreciation of the Italian masters. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand exclusively for Design Toscano. Our replica 4.375" wide, European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image.
