The painter's wife, Alice Gerson Chase, greets an unidentified caller in the artist's own summer studio, bedecked with Oriental elements so in vogue during the period. As an impressionist, the artist used techniques such as the soft focus reflection of the sunlit hallway and stair to give a dreamlike quality to his work. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work s texture, depth of color, and even its bold brushstrokes, which are applied by hand exclusively for Design Toscano. With bas-relief organic styling, the multi-tiered, replica European style frame is cast in quality designer resin and highlighted with an aged gold-toned finish.
