Lesbia, 1878: Canvas Replica Painting: Small
by John Reinhard Weguelin (1849-1927), Private Collection
In a dappled, sunlight drenched garden, British artist Weguelin births an opulent dream rich in idyllic neoclassical images. Draped in gauzy folds and crowned with laurel leaves, his sensuous maiden, Lesbia, poses in a way that is at once alluring and innocent. Our authentic stretched canvas replica captures the original painting's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes. The imported, delicately carved hardwood frame boasts a delicate leaf motif with fine feathered detailing finished in antique gold tones.
