17th Century Italian Rapier
This 17th-century Italian rapier word was deadly effective as a dueling weapon. A beautifully executed rapier with a complex hilt and faceted pommel, the grip is hand-wound with silver-plated wire and woven wire rings from top to bottom. The high-quality sword blade is of hand-forged high carbon steel, tempered for strength and featuring a wide fuller to lighten and strengthen it for thrusting. The heavy ricasso provides extra strength to main stressor areas. Hand-crafted by the famed metalsmiths at Windlass Steelcrafts, this is one of the strongest and finest swords available. Designed by Bruce Brookhart and dedicated to his friend, Hank Reinhardt. Includes a top quality, genuine leather scabbard with a deeply engraved floral pattern on the throat and tip.
Overall: 46" Blade: 35½"Lx1"W. 3/16" thick. 2 lb./8 oz.
