The Triumph of Marcus Aurelius Wall Frieze

(1515), Capitoline Museum, Rome
A frieze from one of the two remaining triumphal arches dedicated to Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, this faithful resculpt painstakingly recreates the elegant chariot, muscular horses and rich symbolism of the Golden Age of Rome. great item but I really liked the item but its yellow-ish in color not the marble grey that appears in the images. So be aware. July 16, 2013
Good reproduction I am fairly satisfied with this reproduction. It is a good reproduction of the original frieze in the Capitoline Museum in Rome, which I visited a few years ago. Of course, a resin frieze will not have the detail of the original, but it is a fine representation. I received the frieze via post intact. I only noticed a hairline crack, which doesn't bother me since it is resin. It does have a yellowish tint which is not as nice as a more gray cast, but I am satisfied. The product does look like what the picture represents on the website. August 4, 2012
do not buy I've bought lots of wall friezes and statues from D.T. so based on the picture I was looking forward to getting this one, and the price is so low. First, it was broken in two places. But even if it wasn't, it looks pathetic, not at all the quality presented by the picture. I simply threw it out rather than take the time etc. to return it. I love Design Toscano, my house looks great inside because of it, but this piece should be removed from their catalog. Bad vendor that D.T. got this one from. November 28, 2011
