Rated 2 out of 5 by Hose will not stay on. We bought this and it is very cute. Our grandchildren love it. However the hose will not stay on it. Difficult to believe that someone can make a product like this and not put something on the sprinkler that you can screw the hose to. My husband messes with it until he finally gets it to stay, but only for a little while and then it pops off again. Terrible design. August 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Many Years of Service I bought this Little Beauty around 10 - 12 years ago and I primaraly use it as decoration for the back deck... However, every once in a while I will put it out in the back yard and hook it up; as it is super cute as a sprinkler. In operating mine I constructed a short 10" hose attachment with builtin filter which I attach to the Elephant first, then I attach the regular hose to the short attachment... finally I secure it in place by running ground ankors over the hose to keep the Elephant from moving... As for the spray size from the sprinkler; just adjust the flow of water from the turn on. You must be very careful in the use and handling of this item to insure its continued use and function as a sprinkler. April 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pretty but does not function I had the same experience as most other reviewers. The connector immediately came loose. I repaired it with cement and caulk. Then it began to spray out of the body in multiple places. Does anyone know how to retube? After reading the other reviews I am wondering if I can line the tubeing with smaller tubeing. It is a bit expensive for a product that simply does not work as expected. February 1, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sprinler does not work properly I love the elephant and the idea you can you it as a sprinkler. However, after attaching the hose and you turn the water on, the hose cannot take the pressure and spits it out of the elephant. It would be perfect it the hose part would work. I do like it alot, but wouldn't recomment putting in front of the house on your lawn. I would be afraid that someoen would steal it. It is adorable. Great for back door use if you can get the sprinkler to work. It did looked the photo when it worked a few minutes. If not, it is still cute. January 16, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Temporary Display Cute. Had to go to hardware store to get fancy hose (fountain) connections. 10 months later it's suddenly (laughingly!) spraying leaks from many unexected places, like it disintegrating, It was worth it for a year. September 9, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ok for an indoor decoration Connection for hose fell apart. Item faded and cracked the first year. It would be good indoors for a decoration but does not handle sun light . April 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as described When I ordered it, the description said it connected to a regular garden hose. After going to the hardware store and getting a converter, a bit if fountain tubing, and two clamps, it does. Customer service was unapologetic and unhelpful. It's cute, tho. December 8, 2011
Rated 0 out of 5 by I love my little lawn elephant...but be careful...if he is put on the least little uneven ground, and the wind blows...he will fall over and his trunk will break....makes me very sad...gorilla glue works, buts it's not the same July 29, 2011
