Swept Away Sculpture
By Carlo Bronti (b. 1951)

The expectant moment just before a longing, romantic kiss is forever immortalized by Italian artist Carlo Bronti. Exploring the potential afforded by the crystalline properties of resin, Bronti has replicated deeply hand-cut art glass. The faces seem to emerge from this five-pound block of etched, glass-like gallery-quality resin, revealing Bronti as a true romantic.

Stunning beauty I love this piece. It is a very romantic piece of art and a true eye catching. Very well made. I am very happy with my purchase. However, in honor to the true, I would like to see the bronze version of this sculpture. I have never see it in bronze but I do not have any doubt about what other reviewers mentioned about the bronze version. I believe that there are details on this sculpture that will be much better seeing in bronze and they are somehow "lost" in this clear version. Even though, the clear resin version (like a glass) is a very interesting and attractive piece of art. If the bronze version become available soon, I will purchase it. Bronti sculptures are incredible! - March 21, 2014
A really beautiful and timeless piece of art. I had purchased this item over 10 years ago and when I moved to Florida from New Jersey in 2005, I had an opportunity to gift it to a young couple for their wedding. I had a small brass plaque with their names engraved to attach to a flat portion at the base of the sculpture. They were ecstatic with the piece and proudly display it in a prominent place in their home. I just received the new one and gifted it (early) to a woman for Valentine's Day and she absolutely loves it. Now I have to order another one for myself to continue to enjoy. My home is filled with magnificent pieces from both Toscano and Basil Street which both have the most amazing selection of unique and exquisite items. Every piece is a head turner and cherished and look like they cost ten times what they really did. Thanks for adding such beauty to my home. February 10, 2014
Stunning Very pretty, very detailed. Not "as clear" like glass as I expected. January 2, 2014
Bronze version I've actually had the "bronze" version I purchased from DT a few years ago, and I think the detail is easier to see with it. I get more complements on the beauty of their expressions and many wanting one of their own. I got it for myself, never expecting to find a man that "understood the simple beauty" but it is one of my (new) husband's favorite pieces! Easy to clean, and well balanced...just the right amount of weight and color. Design Toscano...if you bring back the "bronz" version...I can guarantee you'll have more sales! February 16, 2012
Beautiful in Bronze I have had the bronze resin version of this for over two years and it is always greatly admired by guests (especially the women)! Even my husband loves the romantic expressions on their faces and loves the simple but elegant lines December 14, 2011
I met Bronti in Italy and he impressed me with his knowledge of the arts. I have this sculpture in our great room as a gift to my wife on 35 years of marriage. Wonderful piece. November 12, 2010
