Strength of Man Statue

(c. 1930) By E. Byier. Gallery quality foundry iron casting.

This piece traces its roots to the Stalinist manifesto that stated artists ought to contribute to the Utopian goals of the Soviet Union. The fluid movement of the idealized male figure stands as testament to the strength of man as he beats his sword into a plowshare. Our gallery quality foundry iron casting is set atop a bevel-edged solid marble base for distinctive display.

STRENGTH OF MAN IRON STATUE IS AN EXCELLENT ACCENT PIECE I purchased this as a gift a few months ago and am more than pleased with the item. It sits off to the side on a fireplace mantle in front of a very old framed mirror, allowing more than one simultaneous view of the piece as you enter the room. The item is well-executed and heavy, has become a focal point whenever anyone enters the room... September 18, 2012
