Neptune's Horses of the Sea Sculptural Wall Frieze
Inspired by the painting by Walter Crane (1845-1915)
In the classical tradition of England's Golden Age of Illustration, our galloping stallions almost fully release themselves (some as much as 7"!) from this high-relief, nearly three-dimensional scene. Fraught with the drama of flying manes and muscular tension, our 2½-foot-wide, Toscano-exclusive work is expertly hand-finished in quality designer resin to replicate a true antique.

31½"Wx7"Dx22"H. 20 lbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mine arrived Damaged, but I still love it!!!! Gorgeous Sculpture but color is definitely darker than in stock photos. Unfortunately my Horses arrived with a missing Ear.... (Which Toscano indicated they would replace if I shipped the Original back).... I chose NOT to do this because of the Shipping costs.... all in all.... it's a gorgeous Sculpture.... if it arrives in one piece.... February 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Price and Color I was very pleased with the price as I had first eyed this piece thru Wayfair & was reluctant to pay their asking price... even on sale with the free shipping. I was about to order when I saw that they were sold out so I sought out the Toscano website & behold, there are my horses for a much more reasonable price. I received my horses last weekend & have yet to hang it on the wall as I was expecting white or even a soft dove gray but what I received looks like concrete... I'm talking institutional gray here. I have longed for this piece for so long so I'm not about to return it but that color was a true dissappointment. I intend to spray it with a nice soft white or palest gray I can find. Other than that, I absolutely love it. . April 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very lovely piece The product looks great. I do wish it was more the color that is depicted in the Catalogue I thought it was white. Not a deal breaker. My only concern was the packaging. It looked old and fell apart. The card board was wrinkled and torn and the styrofoam was not solid but flakey? The tiny pieces flew all around the house. I was surprised the sculpture was not broken. But the sculpture is up, it looks great and I would recommend it to anyone. January 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice, but... As other reviewers have pointed out, this piece is not white, but green. Artichoke green is the closest color I can think of to describe it, but much of my living room is green, so that was fine with me. My problem with it is that a couple of the horses' feet looked like they either had not been finished or had broken off. It's minor and not really noticeable until you look closely at their feet, so I don't really care. The other issue was that I don't think this piece weighs 20 pounds, as stated. Out of curiosity, I put it on my bathroom scale, and the scale read 30+ pounds, which explained why it was (almost) too heavy for me (a small female) to hang. With great difficulty and lots of thought, I managed to hang it, but I would not have bought this piece had I known the true weight. However, now that I've hung it (huffing and puffing along the way), I have to say it is beautiful. It really stands out. It's the first thing you notice when you walk into my living room, and I know I will enjoy looking at it for a long time. November 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Piece! Nice piece. Dramatic and cool. Well made and finished nicely. Only thing is color looks different then online or in catalog. It appears more white online but in reality it is a greenish gray finish. You can always spray paint it but it looks cool as it is. Well worth the money overall. November 13, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by The sculpture is dramatic and well done. The hangers on the back are not up to the task. I really like the artwork. It is dramatic and stimulating. The color choice is perfect for the theme of mythical horses emerging from the sea, bursting from the crest of a breaking wave. With an appropiate positioning of lighting the drama is extended by the shadows that the piece casts on the wall. (See Photo) The only problem was that one of the attached hangers failed and the sculpture came crashing down one night. Fortunately there was no damage to the piece or the cabinet it struck. I resolved the problem by remounting the hangers with heavier screws and a generous glob of gorilla glue. And, to be really safe, it now rests on top of a curio cabinet that is well able to support the weight. Aside from that minor irritation, it is a wonderful piece of art. I would enjoy hearing what the artist has to say about his/her inspiration. Thanks for listening,.Mark A April 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by You can't miss it It is a fairly large piece for the wall. Your eye can't miss it when in the same room. The coloring of the resin seems somewhat gray but all in all if your looking for unusual or a conversation piece this will do the trick. February 18, 2014
