From the finely chiseled musculature to the balance and ease of the sculptor's line, this celebratory French masterpiece was originally sculpted by artist Edouard Drouot (1859-1945). Face and body straining at the windlass, this nude muscular form wrenches up the anchor in a mesmerizing bronze sculpture (1915) epitomizing the philosophy and energy of its period. This Design Toscano exclusive high quality lost wax bronze "Power of Man" sculpture is hand rubbed in a multidimensional sepia patina finish and set atop a solid black marble base. The nude male sculpture is individually cast in the traditional lost wax method, which highlights the sculptural uniqueness and guarantees heirloom quality. Color patina is applied by hand one piece at a time, tone may vary slightly.
