Julius Caesar Sculpture
(c. 1st Century B.C.) From the Curator’s Collection: Direct casts of museum originals
Veni, vidi, vici - “I came, I saw, I conquered,” are the words attributed to Julius Caesar, the man who changed the course of Greco-Roman history. Our direct cast of the museum original is near life-sized and showcases the ancient, unknown sculptor’s skills through the ornately detailed breast plate and the military leader’s countenance. It is cast in quality designer resin with a two-toned finish as a coveted gallery piece.
20"Wx12"Dx27½"H. 19 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Of course, when your first name is Julius, a bust of Julius Caesar is going to go over well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Looking, but place where no one can touch it. This piece looks great, but if anyone touches it, they will know it is a relatively cheap mass produced item. Although resin, it really feels like a plastic or even fiberglass. It is hollow, so it someone knocks on it, it gives the kind of sound you might get from knocking on an empty plastic bottle of detergent. Therefore, if you can, place it where no one can check it out. Otherwise, if you have truly good art (I have many high quality bronze statues) it will cast a shadow or a doubt on all of your other art work. You get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my caesar I ordered Caesar to go into my Greco Roman collection and he looks well on a column. I need to order a Roman Column for him because right now he is on the Egyptian one which doesn't quiet go, but after all he did spend sometime in Egypt so I guess it makes some sense. I did not tell my fiance I got this and it scared the heck out of him when he came home and saw this because out of the corner of his eye, he thought it was a person. Kind of funny, but I love this bust, matches all my decor well. I can't wait until I get my house so I can order more stuff from Toscano. I need more columns!! I am an art history person so this is the place to go when you need all the goods:)

Rated out of 5 by from This near life size bust is a must for any home. The detail is wonderful. The bronze is worth its weight in Gold. The coloring on this item is amazing. When i was unpacking this item and saw Caesar in the box it looked so life size i thought i was looking in a coffin. I highly recommend this itemI just wish Toscano would carry more than the two Caesar it this large size;Thank you Toscano's.

Rated out of 5 by from Very nice sculpture, I received this as a gift and was quite pleased. I believe it to be life-sized or very close to it. I get many positive comments on this sculpture. On a side note, I would like to see a version without the bronze finish similar to the smaller bust Toscano offers.
