Inspired by the Moment WWII Lovers Statue

A poignant moment in history inspired by the victory of World War II finds a sailor and American nurse caught in the act of an emotional kiss. Full of the historic nostalgia that epitomizes the American character, this hand painted designer resin sculpture is retro art bringing the joy of victory to life in three dimensions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Sculpture This sculpture is stunning I purchased this for my teenage daughter who has the poster in her room. I was a bit nervous not knowing if she would like it or not. However, to much delight she loved it very much. I am glad I purchased the smaller size, I found it large compared to other sculptures I have purchased from Design Toscano. December 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Patriotic Appeal Ordered for my military customers, specifically the Navy, for their October 13 birthday celebration and was astounded at the response. Color version selling faster than bronze-finished version but everyone likes both. Even more astounding was the fact that 60% of those that recognized the sculpture were between the age of 20-35. All the military retirees over age 40 recognized it and knew the story behind the kiss. The actual 70-foot statue is in San Diego. Great appeal, very recognizable, and instant conversation piece. Definitely will be ordering more after January 1st. Unfortunately the nurse passed away in June 2012 and the sailor who claims he kissed her, supposedly resides in Houston, Texas. November 14, 2012
