Emperor Xuanzong's Fat Horse Asian Statue
Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD)

The tale is told that China's Emperor Xuanzong so loved his plump consort, Yang Guifei, that he preferred everything during the Golden Age to be plump - even his horse! This timeless Asian sculpture of the revered equine is cast in quality designer resin with a faux terra cotta finish to reflect the highly valued museum original. This Oriental statue is striking in contemporary settings and is well admired by those who collect rare Chinese art.

Don't agree with the negative review above! I disagree with the negative one star review above. I absolutely love it! It looks like it belongs in museum. Stands perfectly, no wobbling or anything like that. The finish looks real. Until you pick it up, you can't tell it's made of resin. As for the price, I didn't mind it. The real cast iron or real terra cotta would cost much more. I give it 5 stars! It's a bit bigger then I thought, but that was just a plus! January 6, 2014
Horribly Overpriced I got this item as a Christmas gift after seeing it listed at Amazon. On Amazon it is described as "Solid Cast Iron". It is not. It isn't even solid cast resin. It is light, feels cheap. It wobbles as one leg is shorter than the others. Interestingly, the image shown for the statue doesn't allow one to view where the horses' jaw rests along it's chest. The jaw and chest are connected by plastic. Anybody feel a Return Coming? December 26, 2013
