Rated 1 out of 5 by Product is horrible I will be returning. Received damaged. Do not like color. Lamp does not produce enough light. September 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice addition to the household decor! I really liked this product online and I was excited when it came. The only thing that I was a little surprised about was the streaks of red paint that highlight parts of the sculpture. They don't detract from it, but they were unexpected. Overall, I think it is a neat piece and it fits with rest of the decor of the living room. April 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pluses and Minuses I had looked at this lamp so many times, both in the catalog and at Amazon. I loved the simplicity of the lines and gracefulness of lamp as a whole. Noting that it was not in my most recent catalog, I ordered it before it was no longer available. Soo... + When it arrived, the globe was cracked. I contacted DT and they sent me a replacement globe--thank you! - As other reviewers have noted, the painting of this lamp leaves a lot to be desired. the lady is more of a flesh tone than ivory, and, imho, does not harmonize with the gold. The gold draping is dull, and the red paint used on it to simulate marble is so very poorly done. + In reading reviews of this lamp, I have found that it is paintable--fantastic! I'm thinking that a pearl for the lady and a low sheen antique gold for the draping might be nice, so Gilder's Paste in on my shopping list. - Given the quality of purchases from DT in the past, I'm surprised that passed as acceptable in their product line. The pictures are beautiful, if only the product matched in real life. + Other than the painting on this lamp, it is heavy and seems to be well-made. I'm looking forward to getting this lady situated. Wordy, I know, especially for a product that seems to be on its way out, but I hope that this helps someone who is looking at this lamp. March 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Design flaw Overall I like the Desiree Sculpture with the exception of the two metal spring clips that hold the globe in place......they are highly visible when the light is on. I'm thinking of painting the clips a neutral color so that won't be as noticeable. January 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Nice Little Accent Lamp I have long wanted an Art Deco lamp, something reasonably tasteful and not too kitschy. This lamp is nicely made, doesn't feel cheap, looks great and puts out just the right amount of light. I like mine. January 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great look! Great value! Purchased for accent on an antique table. Arrived quickly. Was as pictured and added an awesome look with old leather bound books. October 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor quality This lamp is not worth the money at all. Poor material and cheap quality. April 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A very nice accent lamp I like this lamp a lot. It's made of molded resin which of course keeps the cost down, but it looks more expensive. The figurine looks like alabaster, and the accents and shade holder look like gilded metal of some sort, perhaps bronze. In general I like Art Deco, and this lamp really captures the essence of that movement. I have the lamp on my mantel where everyone who enters my house can see it. Overall a very nice piece.
