Alaskan Moose Trophy Wall Sculpture
Alaskan Moose is quite a "Trophy"
I donated this item for the Annual Ohio CASA Conference and it was the biggest of hits! This was clearly the most talked about raffle prize basket at the event. The keynote conference speaker opened his speech with a comment about the "amazing Alaskan Moose" basket!
The Alaskan Moose Trophy wall sculpture is so beautiful, it brings the majesty of the Alaskan frontier right into your own home. This wall sculpture is on my wish list for certain.

Major problem with antlers, breaking pieces as you put the antlers on. The antlers are everything!!
Love the moose, but so disappointed in the antlers and breakage of pieces falling off trying to put antlers on. Maybe it should be one piece before delivery and the reviews would be exceptional !!

Suffering from quality control !
The moose looks nice and lively . However, problems occur when it comes to the antlers. One antler fits nicely into the socket with intact bolt. However, the bolt on the other antler fell off upon arrival. I had to use Gorilla glue to glue the bolt back before i can insert the antler in.

The moose is beautiful and lifelike. It makes a realistic display. The antlers are far too fragile, however. Mine was broken, despite all possible caution, before I could hang it. In attempting to repair it, I found that the material the points were bonded to is only 1/16 of an inch thick and the slightest pressure made it crack more. The hanger hole bracket also came loose. It would have been a five if only it was more durable, as it is attractive.

easily could be so much better!
This is a great sculpture but has two main flaws: 1) glass eyes would be so much more realistic looking than painted on ones and 2) for some reason the head is unnaturally narrow from the front, not wide enough between the eyes.
The head looks real enough from the side view, but looking straight-on it looks too compressed to be a real animal.
Be careful with the hook, I was fortunate enough to be standing by when the metal insert ripped right out, its too heavy to hold- but that could be fixed.
I hope they make an updated version of this! Talented carving. A few simple changes and it could be a hit.

Total "WOW" factor on the Alaskan Moose Head
This is THE most precious item I have ever purchased from Design Toscano. I love everything I have from Design Toscano, but this is the "cat's pajamas". (That's really cool for you young people.)
It is so well-made and realistic. It transformed the room once we placed it on the wall. Just Beautiful! Just Beautiful!
