Pondering Fairy of Essex Garden Statue
The wings are detached. They slide into slots in the back of the statue. The fit was smooth and secure. I had to change the design of my garden due to coloration issues with another item purchased. This statue looked better in my bird bath than the one purchased for that purpose. I made a small stand for the statue to sit on to keep its base at water level rather than sunken. I made a base using a cake spring form pan. I lined the pan with a plastic bag, poured concrete in the pan, and placed the statue on top of the wet cement to form fit it to the stand. I removed the statue and washed it off. The process was easy and cheap. A 50 pound bag of Quickcrete costs less than $3. Only a small portion of that is needed. I have tow photos below. The one with the Cardinal visiting is fuzzy - taken through a window screen.
