Pan, Greek God of the Forest Statue: Small
Cast in the traditional lost wax bronze method
This antique replica pays homage to one of the most colorful of all the classical gods, the charming half-man, half-goat Pan, son of Hermes. Our romantically mischievious imp was venerated as a fertility god who ruled over forests, pastures and flocks. A timeless bronze sculpture, this is classic art at its finest. This Design Toscano exclusive high quality lost wax bronze Greek Pan sculpture is hand rubbed in a multidimensional sepia patina finish and set atop a solid marble base. The "Greek God of the Forest" sculpture is individually cast in the traditional lost wax method, which highlights the sculptural uniqueness and guarantees heirloom quality. Color patina is applied by hand one piece at a time, tone may vary slightly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by gorgeous Very impressive piece. Everyone who sees it thinks it's absolutely beautiful. The only complaint I might have had is the lack of detail on the legs, that is, they're smooth compared to the legs on the larger versions. However, the picture depicts them that way, I just assumed it was the picture quality. That said, I'm still thrilled to have it, I've wanted it for a long time, since perusing my first Toscano catalogue about twelve years ago, and finally talked myself into forking out the money. I'm not sorry. November 18, 2014
