Lord Raffles Lion Tea Table
Hand-carved solid hardwood antique replica
Serve tea or simply display a favorite tea service on the twin serpentine shelves of this distinctive work of Gothic revival furniture art destined to become a family heirloom. Named after Lord Thomas Samford Raffles, who founded the British colony of Singapore, it boasts paw feet that rise toward stately winged lions and stylized cherubs on its rhythmically curved apron, this sculptural Toscano exclusive is hand-carved of glowingly polished, kiln-dried hardwood to echo the fine craftsmanship of centuries past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost a match to the Lord Raffles collection I have had this L.R. tea table for a few months now and I do like it. The lion heads are attractive decorations on the table, but they do not match the lion head stlye of many other L.R. design furniture from Toscano. Also it is not mahogany so the color is not the same as most other L.R. furniture. The very best carved L.R. heads are on the console, the throne chair (largest lion heads) and foot stool, side table, fauxleather and upholstered lion chairs. I also have the L.R. ocasional table but the lion heads are anything but like the L.R. collection; still a nice table. I do recommend; just know it is not the same style of carvings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent enough for a carved table We have the Lord Ruffles tea table and coffee table. They're very different. The coffee table is an amazing showpiece--everyone loves it, and the carving is very finely detailed. The tea table is not as well carved (the lion heads are in a somewhat different style as well sa the feet, not as detailed nor as good looking). The color is also very red, much redder and lighter than expected; it is lighter by far than most cherry finishes. Our particular table came with a blemish, which we rotated toward the wall when setting it up. The table seems sturdy enough. I'm not a huge fan of the lip, but the extra shelf underneat is nice. We use it with two corner chairs outside a bathroom. All in all the table is okay, not great. The coffee table we bought is GREAT.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not as seen in picture I love the design of the lions of the one in the picture, however the table I recieved , lions carved are far different than the picture, that was a BIG dissapointment, the faces of the lions on my table look evil and not like the lions in the picture,, my husband thought it look like the devil and not a lion......not impressed with whoever the carver was that did this table........and Tuscano should put the picture of the present table on hand as the table sent to me does not match the picture of the lions faces on this web sight representing the table. Had I seen the table I got with the faces of not so eye pleasing lions, I would have never ordered it.

Rated out of 5 by from This table is gorgeous. It has a little bit redder hew than in the picture. It is very sturdy and solid. Take note of the dimensions, it is not a small table. The carvings are beautiful. It came very well packed in double boxes with lots of padding. Even my teenage daughters friends are giving me compliments. I am very pleased with my purchase.
