I had such high hopes for this chair given the positive review and Toscano's other carved furniture, which I have never been disappointed with. This chair is huge and ungainly, quite wide and tall. I am 5'6 and my feet don't touch the floor when I sit in it. The upholstery and foam pillow look shoddy and cheap. Finally, the dragon arms are much more Thai than Medieval. In short, don't waste your money.

The San Lorenzo chair is the third cross-frame chair I have purchased from Toscano. It is one beautiful chair and a perfect additon to a medieval-gothictheme. The first one delivered fell apart the first time I sat in it . I am 5'10" and 200 lbs. The curved legs are individual pieces glued together to make the curve. Customer service was great. The second one delivered is in fine shape, looks a bit different from the first. I don't think it will take much use. So, it is used for show until I can get some strips of wood or metal to attach to the legs for stabilization. I will inc. how the other two cross-framed chair legs are constructed and reinforced. At the moment if a child or someone sat in it and rocked front to back, I'm sure it would come down with legs in pieces. It is not sturdy, therefore I hesitantly cannot recommend.
