Charles II Side Chair
chair is very uncomfortable
I bought just one chair to see how it was. I intended to buy 7 more but now I won't. The back is too straight and upright. It is extremely uncomfortable. You would have to lean forward with elbows on the table to be comfortable. You cant lean back at all. I think its a huge design defect since a slightly different angle would have made all the difference. It would be torture to sit in it for any length of time.

Very attractive chairs, very poor seat cushions
We bought 2 of the Charles II Side Chairs with arms to be desk chairs with our Lord Raffles Lion Desk. The chairs are very attractive and look very nice with our table.
However, after having the chairs less than 3 months, the seat cushion of one of the chairs lost all support. The other began to lose support within 5 months. My wife and I are not large people, and we sit in the chairs relatively infrequently (less than 1 hour per day).
In exploration, the straps to support the cushions had pulled out from the edges and were irreparable. I have created a false bottom by cutting a piece of plywood to attach under each cushion. They are now quite firm, but we do not feel like we will fall through the cushion.
Although the chairs are very attractive, I would not buy them again.

Great chairs love the hand-carved detail. Fit for a king ...or my wife! Ha Ha ha!
