I have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and I can tell you this product is of questionable design, but the biggest issue is there is apparently no quality control on the release of this product from whatever "craftsman" produced it. We were given a 4" X 6" piece of paper with no explanations as the instructions. Instead it contained 4 unreadable sketches made worse by the grease stains that covered it from being wrapped in the hardware bag. I guess this was a cost savings idea because the instructions were essentially useless and they didn't want to use too much paper. In addition, the 12 nuts and bolts provided for the assembly were of the wrong length by a long shot. I had to purchase all new hardware and assemble as I thought it should go. The brace under one of benches was tack welded at an angle and had to be forcibly straightened to function which then broke one of the tack welds. The only saving grace to this bench is it does look nice once assembled. I plan to send the useless hardware back to the company and request a 50% discount on the purchase. That is about what it is worth in my opinion.

I did not realize that this bench can be used in three separate sections or in a connected circle depending on the length of the bolts. Allows seating for up to three trees on one side if you wish. Speaking of which, the two boxes arrived damaged and nearly all bolts and screws were missing. Also, better bracing of the center leg of each section will improve the quality. When you sit on the bench the center leg will bend and collapse. I bought brass chair leg braces and installed them on each side of the center leg connection to hold it in place. The legs are thin and could use feet to help them from sinking into the dirt. I will design wooden rails to seat the bench feet. It is easy to move around the yard in sections. Now, which trees to sit under.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nonie should make it so it bolts together
I would not ADVISE THIS BENCH TO ANYONE with a big tree. The three parts did not bolt together were free standing, we went and bought 13.00 worth of bolts to secure the benches together. Also we had to deal with a lot of roots to have the bench sit even. took hours and hours to adjust it. Had to cut one back leg off to properly get it even. okay for anyone who has a much smaller tree and flat ground. Don't know why they don't make it so the three sections are bolted together, much sturdier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kati Finished product as described, poor parts for assembly
A challenge to put together as 2 of the holes needed for assembly were not predrilled..had to drill them..really? No washers included and the need to spray paint the washers purchased elsewhere to match the bench ..another added step. End result ...good. Will I buy furniture again from here? Absolutely not!!! Not with their lack of quality control. I'll keep it to statues I've purchased previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susi Around a Canadian Maple Tree Bench
We were thrilled with, the look this bench gave our front landscaping. We own an In-Town, three storey, colonial-style, upscale, town home in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Having very little property, we decided to landscape European-style with railing boxes of flowers, shrubs and ground-cover, stepping stones and no grass. The bench surrounds a red maple tree, which sits between a spirea hedge abutting the complex sidewalk and our front cement walk. It is the perfect spot for neighbours to rest to have a chat while we visit from our porch. It gives everyone the feel of bygone times when people had the time to stop and smell the roses.....in this case our hyacinths and alyssum and enjoy neighbourhood camaraderie. The bench sets the stage.

Rated 0 out of 5 by Christina Gallag What a beautiful piece! The garden bench was easy to put together. I was having a pool party in my back yard so I took the bench and put in different places around the yard. Wouldn't you know I LOVED IT! I'm not keeping it in the back yard around the pool. I may just order another for the front. Thanks Toscano everyone wanted to know where I had gotten the benches!!
