Apex, the Winged Dragon Sculptural Roof Cresting
Don't buy! Bad Construction.
Comes with three pieces that don't fit together with a rod holding them together. Problem is they don't fit and has to be reconstructed to make it work

A little disappointing but do love it
He's so unique and fun, I love it on my garage. It arrived though with chips in the finish, and did not have a rod included to attach the mounting base to itself. So we had to try to find something to make it work, which wasn't easy. I would have expected it to have all the parts needed in order to set on the roof.

I have waited for years for this wonderful dragon to go on sale.I first saw the dragon on top of somebody`s roof top in one of those minny mansions in those upscale neighborhoods. I want one, went home found your site online, checked out the dragons price and thought no way.I waited four years for you to have a sale with the dragon being part of it. I have the dragon now and it will give great cheer when I catch someone going by with a good ladder to raise the dragon to my roof peak.

This piece is really awesome and looks great on the top of our sunroom. However be warned that the surface is really not weather proof. We sealed the gargoyle with rustoleum last year and it still looks the same color as when we bought it. However, we did not seal the base and it has lost all it's color in less than 9 months. Now we will have to take it all down, re-paint the base and seal it - then re-mount again. A lot of extra work - too bad the piece is really not weather proof.

Great detail, low/no maintenance, light weight, imposing
I bought this dragon to place on the roof apex of our two-storey-with-large-attic house. It was a long way up on a very, very tall ladder but even I, this 71-year-old guy, was able to hoist the light-weight dragon on my shoulder and make the climb. It looks great and I get lots of complements from passers-by. This dragon adds to the mistique of the many gabled house with Chinese roof animals on one ridge and stone lions at the entrance. The local university kids call our house the "haunted" one. This dragon adds to the fun!

Apex sits on the highest gable the faces the front of my house and snarls at anyone passing by or coming to the front door. He is heavy enough that he doesn't have to be nailed to the roof. I gave Apex a few color enhancements with some acrylic paint that make him look very realistic, rather than a statue. The neighbors probably think I'm crazy, and maybe I am, but he looks pretty cool on my roof.

Love the detail. I kind of wish it was more of a grey color but the brown works. The rod that holds the pieces together was taped to the lid in a way that we almost through it away. Hope it weathers well.
