Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Our "Area 51" For many years my husband has wanted to create an “Area 51” in our yard and I had resisted. I always thought it would be goofy and distract from the elegance of the gardens that we have built over the years with their beautiful statuary and plants. I figured he would eventually drop the topic but no. So for our 26th anniversary, I begrudgingly caved in and said order everything you want from Toscano and let’s clear out an area of the yard for your spaceship and aliens. It took some work but we created a desert environment with sand, rocks, and “desert looking” plants that would survive here in the Northeast and then installed the spaceship and the aliens (along with an old military installation “Warning” sign we found). I have to admit the result was quite stunning. The display adds whimsy to the yard and is as elegant as the other areas in the garden (in an alien sort of way) and so much fun. We added some solar back lights to the display so the spacecraft gives off that “soft green glow” at night that you see in all the alien movies. So by way of this review I am publicly admitting to my husband that I was wrong. We should have done this years ago. : )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love our USO It's a really an Unidentifiable Stationary Object in our front yard. Living in New Mexico and having seen one selling in a shop in Roswell (for ugh, $800) we fell in love with it and were so glad to find it at a much better price direct. Very cool looking piece and unique too. Solar spot lights (one with a green gel) make our USO look evenb better at night. Only out in the NM winter a month or so, time will tell how well it stands up. But so far, we just love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gave up The Ghost After 1 Year Outside After one year outside under my tree, this wonderful statue which we've enjoyed constantly has formed an opening crack along the very top edge. For the price I paid, I expected more than one year's life expectancy on this item. The paint has stood up to the test of time, but a crack? For visual appeal, this item is worth the price---if it didn't crack in the 1st year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never Fails To Surprise! I wanted to put in a pond, but decided on a blue rock "lake". There are many delightful figures in my "lake" and "islands", though my crashed UFO from Toscano never fails to surprise and bring a smile to my visitors faces. I placed it so it is almost invisible to the eye when entering my back yard (sideways), but when walking into the patio and into the yard, it becomes visible. I love whimsy in my yard, and the UFO addition is the icing on the cake!
