The Legendary Trojan Horse Sculpture
Truly a timeless piece that we will keep for a long time.

Glad to have found it. Even happier to have it.
I was struck by this sculpture when I first saw it, because I had not ever seen a quality representation of the legendary Trojan Horse. I was definitely not disappointed when I got it, especially with regard to the detail. It looks very much like a carved wooden sculpture, and I particularly like the "woodcuts" of the Greek soldiers crammed within, at ready stance for attack.
I could not give it five stars, however, because of a few flaws. Minor, but they take away from the overall quality. The parts that are made to look metal (i.e. the raised screwheads and lines) are apparently hand-painted. Probably by skilled hands, but by hands on people that had a lot of other products waiting for them paint. All of the parts intended to look metal were painted (in other words, not missed), but the silver paint on some parts had run over onto the "wood" and there were occasional stray silver marks as well. Such flaws, albeit minor, threatened the authenticity the artist(s) had obviously tried to bring. But such flaws are visible only if you look really close at the work (and maybe if you are actually looking for them), and represent probably less than 3% of the satisfactory painting effort.
Given the relative "rareness" of this commercial sculpture, the elegant lines and sculptural detail, and the absence of any major, detracting flaws, the Trojan Horse was a welcome addition to my home.
Good finding, Design Toscano. At the time of this writing I saw that this product is not available. I hope you will get more so others can enjoy.
