I was looking for a Bombe chest of this width which is very hard to find and was very happy to find this one. It is very well made and looks amazing. The color is a little darker than the picture. It is a true cherry which I love. The marble top is heavy and not only adds to the beauty but increases function. I have it placed near my front entry and place my keys on it, and don't worry about scratches. The drawers were a big plus, I really needed the additional storage space they provide. The delivery man was wonderful. He opened the boxes so I could inspect the chest and took away all the packaging. My husband attached the feet in no time at all and I was truly amazed by how great it looks and well it is made. You won't be disappointed with this chest, it is a beautiful piece of furniture that looks and functions like a chest that costs more.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece. We needed a narrow bombe style chest to use along side my recliner. There were not many options. My wife came across this and it looked nice but we had not purchased from Design Toscano before. I was hesitant to purchase from a company that also sold Pope figurines, garden gnomes and King's throans. So I had a couple beers and my wife a bottle of wine and we placed the order online.
First, delivery was extremely fast. We ordered it Saturday night and it was delivered Tuesday morning. The table was very safely packed. Assembly took 5 minutes. Simply attach the feet. I immediately noticed the use of really wood., solid and ply veneer. Most furniture in the price is entirely MDF board painted to look like stained wood. The drawers fit nice, line up perfect and glide easily. The only defect found was a slight finishing blemish in the stain on the bottom drawer. Not a big deal but there nonetheless.
My wife was not completely happy that the chest is a darker and redder color then pictured. Personally I really like the color but it does not match like we thought with our other furniture. As noted by others, the granite top is not attached. A simple solution is to use a bead of silicone caulk at each corner. This is the same method that stone counter top is installed to kitchen cabinets. Simple and semi permanent.
This was an excellent purchase. If sold at a furniture store I would expect to pay double the price. Extraordinary value.

My main problem was with the discription. Failed to mention color and this wood is a dark (appears cherry) finish. So I did my best to try and judge by the picture in the advertisement, I was not even close. Second problem was the week I spent triing to line up a delivery with Conway Trucking. Seems they had the wrong house number and no one bothered to check that detail until the third attempt at delivery.
Pro would be this is a terrific value especially for the sale pricing. Bombe styling can be so expensive and I was able to buy two of these because of the reasonable pricing to use as bedside tables. They are a great size next to my Cal King and so rich looking. The table may appear a tad plain in the pics but it's beautiful and construction is pretty well done.
Packaging of items was excellent.

It's a beautiful piece of furniture, it looks really expensive and is made with high quality materials. The description is adequate, and the price (I got it on sale) was resonable compared to other bombe chests I had priced. The carvings and wood quality do make it look like a expensive piece of furniture. There aren't many small bombe chests on the market, and are much more expensive so I like that this is stylish, finely made and reasonbly sized and priced.
The only had a few issues with the product, the first was that it didn't come with instructions. Not huge because I only had to assemble the legs and marble top, however, it came with what was found out to be lock nuts which I had never seen before so without the aide of my husband I would have had no idea what to do with them. A simple picture of the order of the lock nuts and washer would have been helpful. The second is that the drawer has no stops, so you can accidently pull the drawer completely out and empty its contents #I am rather clumsy, so I will be buying some drawer stops at the hardware store). The third thing is that the marble top is not attached to the chest in any way. It just sits on top, and although it is kinda heavy, its not heavy enough to stay on if bumped into. Again, since I am clumsy I'm afraid that will be one of the first things I do. And since it is marble it will do some damage.
Other than that, I am happy with the product, and believe I can custom solve the few issues I had with the construction.
