Circus Elephant Collectors' Die Cast Iron Mechanical Coin Bank

The circus comes alive in this replica novelty that engages when you press the elephant's tail, causing the animal to lift its trunk and deposit your coin into the seat of this collectible, mechanical toy bank. Originally created by the Hubley Company in the 1930s, this Design Toscano hand-painted, heavy cast iron, classic vintage collectors' replica is cast from an antique bank mold in authentic diecast metal construction. Metal turn stopper allows for coin removal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by cute to look at but will not perform most of the time I bought one of these for my elephant collection. The mechanism is faulty on mine, the coin will only go in the slot a small percentage of the time. August 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by My Elephant Bank Didn't Work. I purchased this iron Circus Elephant Bank for my niece. I took it out of the box to test it. The coins do not consistently make it into the inside of the bank. A quarter is just thrown to the side. A penny worked on the second try. Depositing a dime took three attempts. It is cute but does not work as advertised. Because shipping and handling is not refundable, returning the item and getting a replacement sent back, makes no sense. The replacement may not work and from then on it is a negative return. Buy something else. August 12, 2016
