Charles II Side Chair

Handcarved solid mahogany antique replica.
Since the 1700's, European castles have filled their massive halls with elaborately carved chairs like our exclusive replicas. Picture today's highly skilled craftsmen, like those 300 years ago, carving a single, solid mahogany chair by hand - you'll soon realize why it is wrought with ornate beauty! A hand-rubbed finish and a multi-colored coat of arms jacquard tapestry, upholstered on front and back, give it all the authenticity of a fine period antique.
Set AF99119 includes two armchairs and four side chairs.

Charles II Side Chair 3.7 5 4 4
looks better than pictured I just received the Charles II arm chair. It is beautiful. It has a straight back so it is not perfect comfort, but it does what it is suppose to do. It is a grand hall chair that is stunning in appearance. It s a good chair for conversation as you can rest on your arms while posing slightly forward. The look is remarkable with fine craftsmanship. I would recommend for the right syle setting. August 8, 2014
chair is very uncomfortable I bought just one chair to see how it was. I intended to buy 7 more but now I won't. The back is too straight and upright. It is extremely uncomfortable. You would have to lean forward with elbows on the table to be comfortable. You cant lean back at all. I think its a huge design defect since a slightly different angle would have made all the difference. It would be torture to sit in it for any length of time. July 11, 2013
Very attractive chairs, very poor seat cushions We bought 2 of the Charles II Side Chairs with arms to be desk chairs with our Lord Raffles Lion Desk. The chairs are very attractive and look very nice with our table. However, after having the chairs less than 3 months, the seat cushion of one of the chairs lost all support. The other began to lose support within 5 months. My wife and I are not large people, and we sit in the chairs relatively infrequently (less than 1 hour per day). In exploration, the straps to support the cushions had pulled out from the edges and were irreparable. I have created a false bottom by cutting a piece of plywood to attach under each cushion. They are now quite firm, but we do not feel like we will fall through the cushion. Although the chairs are very attractive, I would not buy them again. November 17, 2012
Great chairs love the hand-carved detail. Fit for a king ...or my wife! Ha Ha ha! November 12, 2010
