Aurora, Roman goddess of the dawn, throws wide the shining doors of morning, the discarded roses at her feet belying her inexhaustible passion. The Victorian sensibilities of the artist's contemporaries were disturbed as they easily identified Draper's extraordinarily sexualized figure as a popular model of the day, Florrie Bird. Though Draper's largely nude female figures were not popular in the artistic circle of his day, his skill is recognized in our time. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original works texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand exclusively for Design Toscano. Our replica European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image.

Disappointing image quality - Grande size
I would recommend that anyone who purchases this painting does not go larger than the medium size. The scan of the original artwork does not have enough resolution to be blown up to the larger sizes. There is artifacting and moire all through the image. You need to stand at least five feet from it for it to be acceptable. Any closer and you start seeing pixels, moire pattern and artifacting from blowing up a scan that was of too low a resolution. Luckily, I will be displaying high up on a far wall, so few people will notice. But it is disappointing that they could not get a better image for this. The frame, however, is well made and beautiful.
