The Templeton Regulator Wall Clock
A classic timepiece that adds old world charm to any décor
Introduced in the late 16th century, the Regulator dramatically improved accuracy in measuring time with the addition of the pendulum to the weight-driven movement. The "open heart" design exposes the 7-day brass movement; the antiqued brass face is engraved with large roman numerals artistically spaced by royal fleur-de-lis detailing. The antiqued brass bell on top strikes the hour, and the pendulum swings rhythmically as the weight lowers.
5½"Wx3½"Dx26"H. 7 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Darker than the picture which is fine with me. It does need a high mounting location to suit the weight "drop". The hands were bent a little which caused them to interfere with one another. I might have done this unpacking, although I don't think I did. Easy enough to bend back straight with fingers only. The first day's result was a few minutes slow. I have adjusted by a slight turn to the righto shorten the pendulum. Based on 2 other clocks I have it will take time to tweak the timing to make it accurate. I like the chime and overall quality and presentation. I suppose if the chime bothered someone they could bend back the 'hammer' that strikes the chime to keep it from striking. Horrifying idea to me and my experience is that the ringing of clocks becomes background noise and after a while it isn't very noticeable at all. Another specific hint would be to make sure the pendulum is adjusted back parallel after adjusting the screw longer or shorter. It will twist when adjusting the screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clock! This clock works well, keeps perfectly time for as long as I have had it (about three weeks) and the design is interesting, allowing you to see its inner workings. Especially good for someone who like the sound of the ticking but doesn't want it to overpower your sound space. It has a simple chime on the hour only, that sounds like a bellhop's bell. A little expensive but well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The clock has been a class addition to our home. When we ordered the clock we had no idea how classy it is. The way it works with the gears, shafts and weights amazes us. It is very well built and easy to maintain. The adjustments that have to be made from time to time are amusing also. The humidity in the home definitely has a effect on the clocks accuracy. We would recommend this product to everyone who has a spot on their wall for such an unusual, mechanical device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Item I received this item as a gift - I love it - In online reviews of this item it was said that it did not keep time this is untrue I found that it took me about 10 days to get the adjustment right but it keeps perfect time when you take the time to do this. A must have if you love clocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this clock! You will too! I collect mechanical clocks. Except for this one, they are all antique. This one fits right in and looks great. I admit that the single chime on the hour had me jumping out of my skin for a couple of days, but I soon got used to it and now enjoy hearing the clear, crisp strike of the bell. With all of the other clocks chiming, I feel as if I'm living in a Pink Floyd song! Although it took a few days, I have it keeping good time. Patience and diligence are required to adjust the pendulum to keep it within two or three minutes a week, which is the best to be hoped for with a pendulum-driven clock of any design. It's a wonderful conversation piece, and I'm quite proud of it. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. C'mon; go for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it!! the clocks has a look of being an antique. It runs off the weight and pendulum instead of a the design. It is beautiful and well worth the price.
