andquot; The Enchanted Portalandquot; Fairy Door Wall Sculpture
Very cute addition to our fairy garden. Paint job is good. Even though it was packaged well, one of the fairy wings had come off during shipping, and the other fairy wings were loose. Ended up using a stronger glue to repair both set of wings. I would still recommend.

I only had one problem with this sculpture, the wings on one of the fairies didn't fit snug enough into the hole for it, had to glue it in. It was probably just a one-time quirk, so I would order again. I just expected it to be a little better made (with no quirks) being it was ordered from a renowned magazine not a "cheapo" one. Otherwise, it looks great and a welcome addition for my "mystical" backyard. My granddaughter loves it and everything in the backyard that I also ordered from Toscano.

I purchased this for a friend who is into fairies. She absolutly loved it.

The door is thicker and heavier than I expected, so that's a plus! It arrived with the tip of one fairy's nose chipped off, and one wing broken off. There is a design flaw where the wings attach. The holes are punched too large, requiring lots of hot glue to hold them in place. My husband glued the broken wing back on and touched up the paint on the chipped nose. It was not properly packaged, which caused it to arrive damaged. Now that it's fixed, I'm very happy with it. I think it would be cuter if the wings were pointed on the ends instead of blunt-tipped. My husband added jewels on the wings, which makes it even cuter. I tried to download a pic, but kept getting a time-out error.

Firstly, I was greatly looking forward to buying this one! Second, sadly when it arrived, it was damaged. The blue fairy's foot was gone - and I mean GONE, nowhere in the box or anything! Also, the wings came off easily because the glue melted in the summer heat. I called up and told Toscano about my issue with the missing foot, and they sent me a replacement straight away! The whole thing, not just a foot.
Thankfully, the second one was in perfect shape - once again the wings came off, but I saw that as a minor issue, and quickly fixed them with super-duper glue.
Hanging this door up on my brick wall was a challenge - I finally had to bend and pry the metal plate for the nail/hook/what-have-you outward to an extreme degree for it to hook on the way I liked.
But even with the waiting, the disappointment, the further waiting, and the standing awkwardly on a ladder to place it outside, this decorative door looks FANTASTIC. I love it, it is just what I've been looking for, and I hope to see more products like it!
