"Racing the Wind" Wild Horse Statue by Samuel Lightfoot Grande

Like an equestrian dream, this trio of horses enchants with the pure power and enduring beauty of some of nature's most beloved animals. Two stallions and a colt appear in all their muscular equine glory to stand as a 3-dimensional sculpture to be admired from all angles. Artist Lightfoot, known for his animal sculptures, cast these fine sculpts in quality designer resin and hand-painted them in naturalistic hues to bring out each details. This three-dimensional, museum-quality sculpt is - as you'd expect - found only at Basil Street Gallery!

Large: 10½"Wx7"Dx15½"H. 6 lbs.

Grand: (Shown) 16½"Wx8½"Dx22½"H. 12 lbs.

Beautiful, just one issue This piece captures the majesty of horses, mainly through their beautiful, expressive eyes. I was worried about the stability of the piece, but it is perfectly fine. The only issue with this piece, which I didn't think about earlier, is that the grande size is really too large for a tabletop, so I put it on the floor - but you cannot really see the face of the horse that is looking down when the piece is on the floor. It may have been better had this horse been looking up instead (but then the horses may not have looked so majestic). Still, I recommend it because it is a well made, excellent tribute to horses, and I love horses. April 27, 2015
